Re-registration for the winter semester 2023/24
Remember to transfer your semester fee
All students must re-register twice a year for the next semester in order to continue studying at FAU. This is done by transferring the semester fee. It is essential to transfer the money to the university within the re-registration deadlines, otherwise you will be threatened with exmatriculation.
For the upcoming summer semester, all students must re-register from July 1 to July 8, 2023 and transfer the reduced semester fee of €67 (Studierendenwerk contribution). In the course of the introduction of the “Deutschlandticket” or the “Bildungsticket” for students and trainees (€29 per month), the semester ticket will no longer exist from the winter semester 2023/24. For this reason, the semester fee to be paid for re-registration for the winter semester 2023/24 has been reduced to the Studierendenwerk fee of 67 euros.
All students have received an email from the student administration in June with instructions for re-registration to their FAU email address. The semester fee must be transferred to the university account indicated there (Staatsoberkasse Landshut, IBAN DE28700500003201190315, BIC BYLADEMMXXX), indicating matriculation number (without spaces!), last name, first name. If the information is incomplete, unfortunately, no allocation is possible and the re-registration will not take place.

If you complete your studies at the end of the summer semester or do not wish to continue, re-registration is not necessary.
