Right before the first Advent, the two Christian university communities KHG and ESG started the oecumenical Christmas tree campaign. In the WiSo buildings (Findelgasse and Lange Gasse) there are once again Christmas trees decorated with colorful cards. On these cards are everyday necessities that are collected for people who are in need of the most basic things, such as sanitary products, warm socks, a packet of coffee, canned food, etc. You can take the cards from the tree, buy the items, wrap them up nicely and hand them in at various collection points (see posters at the locations) by December 17.

Collection points:

School’s administration (Lange Gasse – post office, with Ms. Franz; Findelgasse – Vice Dean’s office on the 1st floor, drop-off time from Monday to Friday from 8.30 to 11.30 a.m.). Evangelische Studierendengemeinde (Leipziger Straße 20, Tuesdays 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.), Katholische Hochschulgemeinde (Königstraße 64, Monday to Friday mornings).

The two university communities deliver the gifts to the individual institutions shortly before Christmas. In previous years, the response to the Christmas tree campaign has been impressive. Between 1000 and 1500 parcels were handed in. This year, the university communities are hoping for just as much success.
