FAU and the Siemens RIE Erlangen-Nuremberg had the honour to host a delegation of the “Tsinghua Siemens Digital Transformation Leadership program” on Wednesday, 25th of October. With the Siemens Research and Innovation Ecosystem program, Siemens supports long-term partnerships with renowned universities to collaborate on important research topics – with two of the universities being FAU and Tsinghua University. During their FAU WiSo visit, the delegation had the chance to participate in enlightening keynote presentations delivered by esteemed experts, including Prof. Dr. Kathrin M. Möslein (Vice President Outreach, FAU).

Studying is an important, eventful and decisive part of life that is fondly remembered. To ensure that this period of life receives a proper finale, the School of Business, Economics and Society invites its graduates together with their families and friends to a graduation ceremony on December 8, 2023. Once again, the event will take place on the WiSo campus. Registration is now open and will run until November 21, 2023. Only a limited number of participants will be permitted for the ceremony due to room capacity. Once the number of guests is reached, no more guests can be registered.

The Student Advice Service provides information on all organizational aspects of studying at FAU, such as admission requirements and application procedures. It also offers advice on changing or withdrawing from degree programs and similar topics. On Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and on Thursdays from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., the Student Advice Service at FAU WiSo helps people with all queries without an appointment. Individual appointments are also available by emailing to ibz-rewi@fau.de.

The School of Business, Economics and Society invites all students starting a Bachelor's or Master's program at WiSo to the official welcome for first-year students on Monday, October 16, 2023.

The School of Business, Economics and Society at Friedrich-Alexander-University Erlangen-Nuremberg (FAU WiSo) is pleased to announce the introduction of its innovative part-time Master of Business Administration (MBA) program "Sustainability Management" in collaboration with Siemens AG. The program will start for the first time in the Winter Semester of 2023 with a cohort of 25 participants, offering professionals the opportunity to gain in-depth qualifications to deal with challenges in sustainability management.

Professor Dr. Dirk Holtbrügge, Dean of International Affairs, at FAU WiSo signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on research and teaching with the University of Jordan, School of Business in Amman, Jordan. The agreement allows students from both institutions to study at the partner university for one or two semesters.

Please do not forget: For the coming winter semester, all students must re-register from July 1 to July 8, 2023 and transfer the reduced semester fee of €67 (Studierendenwerk contribution) for this purpose. There is a corresponding transfer form on Campo.

Students of the Faculty of Business, Economics and Society can register for the exams in the summer semester 2023 from May 29 (00:01) until June 18 (23:59). Students must register for examinations via campo. The registration function is only activated during a registration period.

Prof. Dr. Markus Beckmann, Chair of Corporate Sustainability Management at Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg (FAU) WiSo, recently played a key role in a series of sustainability-focused events in Vietnam. His contributions included acting as the keynote speaker at a two-day workshop in Hanoi, a networking event in Da Nang, and providing his expertise as a conceptual advisor at a workshop in Ho Chi Minh City.
