FAU WiSo student Maximilian Harl is driven by his wish to ‘accept responsibility and improve society’. This is what swayed the jury of the Bavarian Elite Academy in his favour, when they selected him for the 23rd BEA intake. He is one of a total of 40 young people from Bavarian universities who will receive further training in leadership and assuming responsibility.

From 14. to 16. June the European Conference on Information Systems (ECIS) took place online. There the research paper with the title “Is It All About Transparency? The Effectiveness and Ethics of a Digital Salience Nudge” was announced as one of two runner-ups for the conference’s Best Paper Award.

All students at FAU must re-register for the coming winter semester from 1 – 8 July 2021 and pay their semester fee. The semester fee of 127 euros consists of the Student Services fee and the contribution for the semester ticket.

QS World University Rankings 2022 have been published FAU has ranked first place again in the prestigious citations per researcher category on a national level in the recently published QS Rankings 2022. FAU has once again made it into the top 100 universities worldwide with 5 subjects in the recently published Shanghai Ranking. In the national comparison, FAU is represented in the top 10 with ten subjects - including Business Administration in 9th place. For the 2021 ranking, more than 4,000 universities from 93 countries worldwide were examined and 1800 ranked.

In the International Business Studies Master program, students develop a comprehensive understanding of the complexity in an international environment and acquire skills to operate successfully in this environment. The application deadline for the winter semester runs until June 30, 2021. For all interested parties, an information event will take place on June 2 from 2:00 pm.

Deutschlandstipendium scholarships are one way for individuals, foundations and firms to help FAU and the federal government fund outstanding students at our University. One example for the success of the program is FAU alumnus Dr. Benjamin Hübel. He completed both his Bachelor’s and Master’s degree program at the WiSo at FAU.

The bachelor’s program including the bachelor’s thesis has already been completed and with it, presumably, the first obstacles in the preparation of scientific papers. In addition, the proportion of term papers and practice-oriented seminars in the master’s program is often significantly greater than in the bachelor’s program. But the master’s thesis also brings new challenges and pitfalls for many students.

There are more than 70 Master’s degree programmes to choose from at FAU and you can now apply for a place in winter semester 2021/2022. Applications are also open for international students in all undergraduate degree programmes and programmes without admission restrictions.
