Welcome to the opening of the 2023 summer semester at the Department of Business, Economics and Social Sciences (WiSo) at the Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nuremberg! We look forward to welcoming all new and old students and to accompanying you on your academic path. With summer just around the corner, we hope that you will have a great time at the university and enjoy an unforgettable semester.
Given the number of partnerships the School of Business, Economics and Society (WiSo) has around the world, there are many attractive places left unfilled each year after the selection process closes in winter. These are advertised for the academic year 23/24, and the modalities of selection remain the same.
Batch 4 of the executive teaching program Leading Digital Transformation (LDT), jointly organized by FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg, the Indian Institute of Management (IIMB), and the Fraunhofer Institute for Integrated Circuits IIS, has recently concluded its second module in Nuremberg, also at the School of Business, Economics and Society (FAU WiSo). In addition to fascinating sessions and exciting visits to some of the most innovative places in the city, the program also included a visit of the Consul General Mohit Yadav (Consul General of the Republic of India in Munich).
All students must re-register twice a year for the next semester in order to continue studying at FAU. This is done by transferring the semester fee. It is essential that the money is transferred to the university within the re-registration deadlines, otherwise there is a risk of exmatriculation. For the upcoming summer semester, all students must re-register from February 1 to February 8, 2023 and transfer the semester fee for this purpose.
Together with the School of Business, Economics and Society of the Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg (FAU WiSo), the PACT4Ukraine project in close collaboration with Ukrainian universities announces a series of webinars titled “Ukraine's economy during the war”. The webinars will be held in English via Zoom.
If a bachelor’s degree has already been attained, a master’s program at FAU’s WiSo is the perfect choice to further expand one’s expertise. The master’s programs deepen the scientific content that students have already dealt with in their bachelor’s studies. Information events on the master’s degree programs are now being held again at the beginning of 2023. The responsible program coordinators will provide information about the content, focus and admission procedure.
