Batch 4 of the executive teaching program Leading Digital Transformation (LDT), jointly organized by FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg, the Indian Institute of Management (IIMB), and the Fraunhofer Institute for Integrated Circuits IIS, has recently concluded its second module in Nuremberg, also at the School of Business, Economics and Society (FAU WiSo). In addition to fascinating sessions and exciting visits to some of the most innovative places in the city, the program also included a visit of the Consul General Mohit Yadav (Consul General of the Republic of India in Munich).

All students must re-register twice a year for the next semester in order to continue studying at FAU. This is done by transferring the semester fee. It is essential that the money is transferred to the university within the re-registration deadlines, otherwise there is a risk of exmatriculation. For the upcoming summer semester, all students must re-register from February 1 to February 8, 2023 and transfer the semester fee for this purpose.

Together with the School of Business, Economics and Society of the Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg (FAU WiSo), the PACT4Ukraine project in close collaboration with Ukrainian universities announces a series of webinars titled “Ukraine's economy during the war”. The webinars will be held in English via Zoom.

If a bachelor’s degree has already been attained, a master’s program at FAU’s WiSo is the perfect choice to further expand one’s expertise. The master’s programs deepen the scientific content that students have already dealt with in their bachelor’s studies. Information events on the master’s degree programs are now being held again at the beginning of 2023. The responsible program coordinators will provide information about the content, focus and admission procedure.

Students of the School of Business, Economics and Society can register for the exams in the winter semester 2022/2023 from November 21, 2022, 0.01 a. m., until December 11, 2022, 11.59 p. m. Students must register for examinations via campo. The registration function is only activated during the registration period.

The lecture period begins and the Nuremberg School of Business, Economics and Society (WiSo) therefore wishes you a successful winter semester 2022/2023 and all first-year students a good start to their studies! Furthermore: WiSo invites all students starting a Bachelor's or Master's program to the official first semester welcome!

New life, new friends, new city: To ensure that first-year students at WiSo Nuremberg quickly feel at home, there will once again be a big freshers' welcome on October 17, 2022. The welcome, including an information fair, will take place in the morning. In the afternoon, the WiSo courtyard will offer a beer garden feeling and guided tours of the city.

FAU President Prof. Joachim Hornegger met FAU students from Iran to discuss the current situation in their home country and to learn more about how they are personally affected by it. FAU is a platform of freedom on which people can make their visions a reality. It stands for peaceful and free community for everyone, everywhere.

The joint research project “The Impact of Surface and Deep-Level Attributes on Peer Evaluations in Global Virtual Teams” by Theresa Bernhard, Teaching and Research Associate at the Department of International Management at FAU WiSo, and her co-authors Ernesto Tavoletti (University of Macerata, Italy), Longzhu Dong (University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire), Vas Taras (University of North Carolina at Greensboro, USA) won the Best Paper Award in the category “Teaching and Education in International Business” at the Academy of International Business Conference in Miami, USA (6-9 July 2022).

Professor Dr. Dirk Holtbrügge, Dean of International Affairs, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on research and teaching with Universitas Indonesia (UI), Jakarta, Indonesia. The agreement allows students of both institutions to study at the partner university for one or two semesters.
