FAU will again be awarding one-off grants from the Oskar Karl Forster scholarship fund during the 2022 academic year. Grants are available to gifted students in financial need who can apply for one-off grants to purchase books or other study materials as well as assistance with printing costs for doctoral theses.

There is a new eye-catcher in Nuremberg city. A tram boasting the new FAU design will be on the tracks in Nuremberg from Saturday, April 2. Prof. Dr. Joachim Hornegger, FAU President, says: “We at FAU want to increase our exposure in Nuremberg and remind people every day of the cutting-edge university that has been at home in their city for years now.”

FAU has achieved top rankings in the QS World University Subject Ranking. In total, FAU is represented with six subjects among the best 250 universities worldwide. FAU performs best in materials science. In the national ranking, FAU ranks in the top 10 and top 20, with economics, which is represented in the ranking for the first time, reaching 18th place.

Researchers at the Endowed Chair of Digitalization in Business and Society at WiSo carried out interviews with potential users and stakeholders in the area of human resources as well as with experts in the field of AI. The team of researchers from Nuremberg led by Prof. Dr. Sven Laumer have now summarised their results in a report that is of both practical and academic relevance.

Many of our students, employees and academic partners come from Ukraine and we are extremely concerned about the developments in the country. The WiSo master's programs deepen the scientific content that students have already dealt with in their bachelor's studies. Information events on the master's degree programs are now being held again at the beginning of 2022.
