The first step towards setting up a company

The start-up advice team at the Office of Knowledge and Technology Transfer and Continuing Education offers comprehensive information and support for all students, members of staff and professors at FAU who intend to start a company, whether it is a technology-oriented spin-off or a new service provider.

The support is not limited to the initial stages of setting up a company but also includes assistance during the ensuing consolidation process. The team is a first point of contact for young entrepreneurs and regularly issues important information related to starting companies.

Creating value from inventions

FAU’s patent management team supports inventors during the entire process from registering an invention, to applying for a patent and conducting the necessary checks, to protecting intellectual property until it is licensed or sold and organizing the associated contracts.
