Curriculum vitae
Malte Reichelt studied Socioeconomics and Sociology at FAU Erlangen-Nuremberg and the University of Mannheim. From 2013 to 2016, he was a PhD student and scholarship holder in the joint graduate program of the Institute for Employment Research (IAB) and the School of Business, Economics and Society at FAU (GradAB), focusing on increasing demands on worker flexibility. After his PhD, Malte Reichelt worked as Assistant Professor of Social Research and Public Policy at New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD) and New York University (NYU). Since 2023, he has been leading an Emmy Noether Junior Research Group on ‘Technological Change, Digitalization and Gender Inequality’ (GenDiT) and is Assistant Professor of Computational Social Science with a focus on Social Dynamics at FAU. He is also a research associate at the IAB and the Leibniz Institute for Educational Trajectories (LIfBi).
His research focuses on organizations in the labor market, technological change, gender inequality and educational decisions.
