Curriculum vitae
Marvin Nipper completed his dual studies in Business Administration at the Hessische Berufsakademie in collaboration with KHS GmbH, Dortmund, from 2012 to 2015. Subsequently, he earned a Master’s degree in Business Administration with a focus on Accounting & Finance from the University of Duisburg-Essen in 2018. As part of a dual degree program, he also graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a Master of Business Administration (MBA)
In 2022, Marvin Nipper obtained his Ph.D. with his dissertation titled “Management and governance in the 21st century: Three essays on how the characteristics of executives and directors shape corporate decision-making” at the University of Duisburg-Essen. During his doctoral studies, he was a visiting Ph.D. student at the University of Florida, Gainesville in 2021.
Following the completion of his Ph.D., Marvin Nipper served as a member of the Sustainability & Climate Action Team at the global strategy consulting firm Roland Berger. Since December 2023, he has held the position of Assistant Professor for Sustainability Reporting at the Department of Economics and Social Sciences at Friedrich-Alexander-University Erlangen-Nuremberg.
Marvin Nipper’s research assesses the role of increased sustainability reporting requirements and evaluates factors that influence corporate ecological performance.
