Research at the Institute of Labor Market and Socioeconomics
The researchers at the Institute of Labor Market and Socioeconomics (IAS) study questions on how the labor market works, its role within society, and the many issues involved with how to assign employees within companies. Empirical data analysis plays a key role in the Institute’s research, which is largely interdisciplinary. For this purpose, in addition to collecting its own data, IAS collaborates closely with the Federal Employment Agency’s Institute for Employment Research.
As part of its research activities, IAS works with:
- Institute for Employment Research (IAB)
- Labor and Socio-Economic Research Center (LASER)
- Institute of Liberal Professions (IFB) at FAU
- Institute for Empirical Sociology (IFES) at FAU (German)
Information on the Institute’s current research projects is available on the chairs’ websites.
