Commemorating 100 years of history: The School of Business, Economics and Society is celebrating its anniversary in 2019
The School of Business, Economics and Society can be traced back to the Nuremberg Commercial College which had just 180 students in 1919 when it opened in Findelgasse 7. A lot has happened since then. Today, the School of Business, Economics and Society is part of FAU with more than 6,000 students, a strong reputation in research and two major buildings with further expansion underway. The School has established links to international partner universities and regional partners in industry, set up new institutes and even launched entirely new disciplines.
Teaching at the School of Business, Economics and Society has been interdisciplinary, international and practice-oriented from the outset, encouraging international networks while staying connected to the local region. We are looking forward to celebrating 100 years of history, how the School has grown and developed over the years, and our close links to the city of Nuremberg with many exciting events in our anniversary year 2019.
