Course content
Course of study
The first semester starts with a customised introduction to international information systems to help students gain skills not covered in their previous studies. Students with a management background take the introduction to computer science whereas students with an IT background take management modules. The first semester also includes a foreign language module.
The second and third semesters’ courses integrate interdisciplinary perspectives from the fields of international information systems management and computer science.
Depending on their area of interest, students deepen their knowledge in these fields by choosing from a wide range of elective modules and applying their theoretical knowledge in different seminars. Beyond these areas, elective modules in IT security, distributed systems and operating systems, as well as computer networks and communication systems are offered within the curriculum.
The mandatory semester abroad can be spent studying at one of our partner universities in the third semester or by doing the Master’s thesis in co-operation with an international corporate or academic partner in the fourth semester. It is also possible to combine these two options and spend up to two semesters abroad.
